Our Program
PGT designs programs that translate Indonesia’s opportunities into scalable global solutions. Our work focuses on three interconnected streams:

Global Health Security
Challenge: With health expenditures reaching US$375 billion in 2023, Indonesia’s system is vast yet fragile. Out-of-pocket payments remain at 28.6%, signaling vulnerability. As COVID-19 showed, disease spread in one hub can quickly cascade worldwide.
Our Work: PGT convenes funders, innovators, and public institutions to accelerate vaccine R&D, strengthen pandemic preparedness, and reduce preventable disease burdens in Indonesia—protecting both local communities and global health security.

Energy & Resource Transition
Challenge: The world’s energy future depends on critical minerals. Indonesia is the largest nickel producer globally, a cornerstone for electric vehicle batteries and renewable energy systems. But unmitigated extraction risks environmental collapse.
Our Work: PGT drives sustainable investment and innovation partnerships that ensure Indonesia’s mineral wealth supports the global clean energy transition responsibly—without repeating the mistakes of past resource exploitation.

Food Systems & Global Supply
Challenge: By 2050, food demand will increase by 60% globally. Indonesia, with 14.8 million tons of rice stocks by May 2025, has the potential to become a stabilizer in global food supply chains. But climate risk and inefficiencies threaten reliability.
Our Work: PGT fosters innovation in agriculture, resilience in supply chains, and regional food cooperation—ensuring Indonesia not only feeds its people but contributes to feeding the world.
